Cleaning for a Healthy Home

Cleaning. The thing you dread doing and love when it's finished.

A big part of my life is a desire to have a clean home, naturally.

Doing laundry, mopping floors, cleaning windows, or any of the other things that need to be done, are important in your life and in mine.

But what is also important is the products we use.
What do you use?
What ingredients are in these products?

It might be a habit to check labels on foods before purchasing them to make sure there are healthy and sustainable nutrients, yet how often do you look at the ingredients in your cleaners, soaps, or beauty products?

While we don't eat or drink the products, we breathe in and absorb the chemicals through our skin and mucous membranes. And residue from chemicals can end up on surfaces that touch your skin or are transferred into our foods.

Often, the products used to clean or sanitize our homes are more toxic than the actual environment itself. Even products that claim to be "green", "natural", or "organic" can have ingredients that can cause damage to you and your family's health.

Take a look around at the products you have.

What kind of chemicals are in them?
Sodium hypochlorite?
Formaldehyde?
Triclosan?
Ammonia?

Companies do not have to prove chemicals are safe before putting them into cleaning products.

There’s a cost-effective way to make sure your products are safe for your families.

Make your own.

Using lemon juice, castile soap, and even essential oils to make cleaners ensures you’ll be avoiding commonly used chemicals in cleaning products.
